bruslem park

I am getting use to taking outfit posts now, so here is one from today when I was at Bruslem Park. As this was the day of Halloween, me and Sean decided to go on a cute lunchtime walk. I was dressed very casual as I was only going for a walk. I still love my lilac coat from Primark that I got last winter along with my ripped knee jeans from ASOS. Again I have my gold backback from New Look which I just can't get enough of it. It is now my new favourite bag. I did buy a cute coin purse from Accessorize which goes with the bag so I am pretty much in love with the golds/coppers this month. You will find the links at the bottom of what I am wearing.

payday wishlist (6)

Purple Check Shirt - New Look // Suedette Biker Jacket - New Look // Snow Fairy Shower Gel - Lush // Sweet Cinnamon & Caramel Pumpkin Swirl Candles - Bath & Body Works 1 - 2 // Pumpkin Beanie - ASOS // Block Heel Knee High Boots - SpyLoveBuy // Laura Geller Bronze-N-Brighten Bronzer - Debenhams

I absolutely love October not just because of Autumn but the fact that I get paid again this Friday! So here is my usual payday wishlist. Starting with this check shirt from New Look, you can never really go wrong with a checked shirt can you? It's just the perfect layering staple item for those chilly days. I have been looking for that perfect biker jacket for so long and I think now I have found the right one from New Look. It looks so stylish and comfortable. I'll have to pop into my local shop and try this baby on. No surprise on why I added Lush's Snow Fairy shower gel in this wishlist. IT'S BACK! I am dying to get my hands on this before it sells out. Last year I made the bad mistake of waiting until the middle of December and they were completely gone. But this time I will try and get it early. I recently found out that Bath and Body Works do so many amazing autumnal scented candles. I looked into Yankee Candle but they don't seem to do any autumnal scents which I am gutted about as I love Yankee Candle's. But I might have to make a big order from Bath and Body Works as they have some great bargains. How cute is this pumpkin beanie?! I have been looking for this EVERYWHERE. I have enough beanie hats but this one needs to be added in my collection. I have decided that I am now bored of wearing my ankle boots so I am looking into investing in some knee high boots. Not sure if they will suit me so will still have to look around but I love this pair from SpyLoveBuy which is a website that sells amazing bargain shoes. Lastly a bronzer that I saw that's new in Debenhams by Laura Geller. I love bronzes like this, it looks too pretty to use but is apparently really good.

my autumn make-up look

So Autumn is officially here so I thought I would share with you the product's that I will be using other the next few month's. I always go for different shades this time of year. I think Autumn is a great time to play with those golden, darker shades. I still don't use a high coverage foundation as I like to show off those freckles. But I will still use concealer to cover up that redness.

As I said I like to go for a minimal coverage around this time of year. A newer foundation for me is Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation, I love this foundation. I would normally use a primer aswell but I couldn't find it when this photo was taken. The finish is perfect and it's not cakey at all, it sit's nicely on my skin and gives me a flawless finish. This foundation does last all day long, I think I may have found a replacement from Revlon's Nearly Naked Foundation.
I am loving having those long lashes and along with my usual eyeliner look I have been using Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde mascara which makes my lashes so so long. The packaging is also so trendy.
I used to hate lipstick and now I am absolutely obsessed. I love Topshop's "Beguiled" lipstick which is a gorgeous dark vampy colour that I wouldn't normally go for. But along with my pale completion, it just works so well together. I'm always changing up my nail varnish but around Autumn I like to match my lipstick with my nails so I always go for those purple, berry, reds and browny shades. I am loving Essie's "Lace Is On" which is a glittery purple colour.
Eye shadow has got to be my favourite part of my Autumn make-up routine. I love berry, metallic and brown shades. I have been using W7 In The Nude Palette, I did a review on this which you can look at here. I tend to go for the more golden and brown in the day, then in the evening I'll go for a deeper berry toned eye.

I do love this time of year, I officially have all the knitted jumpers on along with my chunky scarfs. I hope you enjoyed this style post. Let me know what products you use for Autumn.

freedom make-up pro eyebrow kit

Today I want to talk about Freedom Make-Up's Pro Eyebrow Kit which is a complete bargain at £3.50. I am a little obsessed with filling in my eyebrows because I love my eyes to have a good shape and also you can't see my eyebrows because the hairs are quite light. I love nothing more than mixing the colours to achieve a unique colour. I always use the darkest brown and usually mix it with a bit of the medium brown shade. It all depends what mood I am in that morning when I do my brows. The kit I have is Medium - Dark and this is perfect for me. I try not to make them look like like I have filled in my brows, so I try and make them look as natural as possible.

For the price it is pretty good as you get 4 eyebrow shades, mini tweezers and application brushes making the kit perfect for travelling or carrying it around in your make-up bag. I use my own eyebrow brush to apply this but I have used the brush that comes with it and it is completely fine for application purposes. The pigmentation is really good and you don't have to spend ages trying to get the colour to transfer onto your brows.

I haven't had to touch up my brows at all during the day and that could be due to the fact that I set my brows with a clear gel but I don't think so. If you have tried out Sleek's eyebrow kit and loved it then you should check out this little beauty.

brampton park

Well, here's an outfit post. On Tuesday I hopped on a train to Stoke to surprise my boyfriend Sean who is currently at university there and the plan worked. We spent most of the day carving pumpkins, which we both had no experience in so we thought we'd give it a go. They turned out pretty good from a first experience. But anyway back to the day these photos were taken. Yesterday before we travelled back to Birmingham I wanted to visit this nice park that I found on Google (yes, I browse for cute parks). Before we pulled into the car park we saw this cat just getting all snug in a pile of leaves and It melted my heart so much, that I had to take a picture of it which you will see when you scroll down to look at the photos. The park we went to was called Brampton Park, it had a lovely small garden and a free museum, we didn't venture into the museum though. Everywhere just looked so autumnal that I had to take a few snaps.

are false nails worth the hype? elegant touch nails

I enjoy painting my nails but sometimes I just simply cannot be bothered with all the messing around and the huge wait between layers. Having naturally quite strong and long nails myself I very rarely wear false nails. Elegant Touch offer a wide range of false nails, I love the Express Trend collection where they take inspiration from the runway and current trends. I hate overly false looking nails and the designs are right up my street it almost hurts that I know I will never be able to recreate this on my own natural nails. As these have round tips, I do have to file them down to that natural look which only takes 10 minutes. You only need a small layer of glue on your nail and then you just place down the nail which will stick in 4 seconds. They say that they last for around 10 days which is true.
Overall I think that false nails with designs on them are a great alternative to doing it yourself or for those of you that fear nail art in the first place. Elegant Touch offer so many designs at a very affordable price of only £7.95, and can be picked up in most Boots stores so you have no excuse not to embrace nail art this A/W!

mini lush haul (4)

Yesterday I did a spot of shopping and had some lunch with a friend. I obviously had to pop into Lush. I was excited to see some new bath treats. I decided to pick just 3 things as near Christmas time I probably will be buying them all. But I am very excited about these bath treats!

Cinder Bath Bomb: This smells heavenly! Cinnamon is my favourite smell so that's a little biased. I've tried other Lush products with popping candy in before and it always works well in the bath. I could imagine it to fizz out so quickly that I will probably miss something exciting but I will have to see what happens when I use it.

Yog Nog Bath Bomb: A Christmas scented bath bomb now and I am rather excited about this. Egg Nog is one of my favourite things about Christmas. The smell is gorgeous, you would think to eat it because it smells like toffee. One of the lovely staff members in Lush said that this would be perfect for one of those cold winter evenings.

Star Dust Bath Bomb: How sweet is this star, I absolutely love this. Just reading the description of this treat automatically made me buy this:
"Follow yonder star all the way to the bathroom; it will bear exotic gifts of Fair Trade Ugandan vanilla from the Mountains of the Moon and precious rosewood from the depths of the Peruvian rainforest. A twinkly dip in its starlit waters gives a bergamot-powered boost to the mind and body - ideal for a little post-party recovery. Note: wise men not included. "-  If that doesn't make you want to buy it, then I don't know what will.

skin care products i will always trust

My skincare collection grows more and more everyday. Even though Clinque's 3 step skin care has recently helped my skin, I can't help but not stop using my old favourites. These products are always repurchased over and over again because they are just bloomin' good!

The Body Shop's Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion - £9.00 is a great new moisturiser for blemish-prone skin. Tea tree lotions and potions have never let me down when it comes to spot fighting and this cream is great for soothing my break outs while keeping my oily t-zone at bay.

Bioderma Make-Up Remover - £3.30 has become a big favourite of mine. Although I love Garnier's Michellar Water because it is so cheap and works just as good, Bioderma is just the best. It washes all of my make-up off so easily and my face always looks so clean. I like to use it especially in the mornings as it seems to wake up my skin and then of course at night when I take off my day/evening make-up.

Lush Eau Roma Water - £8.50 is now my third bottle, I just love this stuff. The one thing I do with this toner is spray it onto a cotton pad and apply it all over my face after using Bioderma as it freshens up my skin and removes any of that remaining make-up that I cannot see before I move onto moisturising. I am a big fan of this toner.

lush frozen bath bomb

Lush products are my favourite things to review, particularly their bath bombs. There's nothing nicer than a hot bubble bath and smelling like many fab creations. The appearance of the bomb is beautiful. Apart from it being Frozen themed, I think it was the smell that attracted me more. It has a mixture of grapefruit, which is lovely and tunisian neroli. The uplifting fragrance means this would be a great bath bomb to use last night as soon as I finished work as I was feeling tired and grotty.

As soon as you drop it into the water, it immediately fizzes into a blend of snow white and sky blue. This instantly made me feel happier and calmer. Once it all dissolved, the white element felt so soft and moisturising on my skin, which means it was not only fun to use but also beneficial. Soon after the water was a gorgeous blue with a glitter sheen on the surface of the water. It all felt very magical! The glitter did stay on my skin and still is after yesterday.

Cleaning out the bath wasn't too much hassle especially as I thought it would be with all the glitter and bright blue. I would recommend picking it up if it is still available as it's such a treat to experience!

my recent skin care saviour

Anti Blemish Solutions 3 Step System - Clinique (£25.00)
My skin has been looking so fab recently and it's all thanks to Clinique. I found out about this Anti Blemish 3 Step System because Sean was using it himself. I tried it out one day when I was staying over at his house and the next day my skin was glowing. Since then I have been using it since. After just one week of using the kit, my skin dramatically changed. I'd had blemishes in one area of my face in particular, and within days they were starting to disappear. I was so excited and happy because as I'm nearly 22 years old I had never been able to find that perfect skin care routine to help my blemishes go away. I am now able to feel so good about my skin and walk outside with no make-up on.
I'm not saying that I don't suffer from break outs anymore - but they always heal quickly with the use of the three-step system. The anti-blemish system is the only thing that I have ever used from Clinique and now I'm thinking "why the hell didn't I do this before?!". If you are interested in knowing how it all works, carry on reading below.

Step 1: Cleansing Foam
Add water to your face and then wash in the anti-blemish solutions cleansing foam. You can use this to remove your make-up, rather than using other make-up removers or face wipes.

Step 2: Clarifying Lotion
Make sure you shake the bottle before use. Using cotton wool, sweep the clarifying lotion across your face to get rid of any remaining dirt or make-up. If your face starts to tingle it just means it's working!

Step 3: All Over Cleansing Treatment
For the final step, apply all-over clearing treatment to your face. This is moisturising and cleansing, so you don't need to worry about getting break outs from your oily moisturiser.

If you really want to try before you buy like I did, you can purchase it from House Of Fraser or Debenhams for £25. It's reasonable and should last you around 4 weeks. I'm planning on buying the full size products as soon as it hits payday!
