asos wishing for spring

After giving my wardrobe a spring clean, it was about time I got onto ASOS and looked into the "new in" section.
This Spring I have a few special occasions and a Summer holiday in July. So when I am scrolling through all the lovely pieces I am thinking about when I would wear them. I have my eye on these pretty cactus pjs which look incredible for Summer and to take away with me on holiday.
This cute cold shoulder ruffle top tucked in shorts or jeans, looks like the perfect Summer outfit. Below you will find a couple of other bits I have my eye on...

spring lush haul

I had a lil trip to Lush not so long ago and I was so happy to see all the new Spring collection. When I looked upon my Lush collection in my bedroom, I noticed that had a sad looking sparkly pumpkin from October time and half of my comforter bubble bar. So, when I went into Lush I knew it was for a reason...to get some new bits! I went with two old favourites so they made an appearance in my basket.

Lemony Flutter -  If you want something that smells like Spring in a pot, you need this. As soon as I smelt this in the shop it reminded me of a lemon curd. To be honest here, my cuticles aren't in the best condition so when I saw this I just had to get it. You only need a small amount of this to smooth over any dry patches on your fingers and it leaves them feeling soft. I have to say, since using this my cuticles are looking decent.

Sex Bomb - An old favourite of mine and one I think everybody loves is this bath bomb. The design itself reminds me of Spring and along with the scent of jasmine. This is a perfect pick me up after a stressful day.

Ups-A-Daisy - This one was part of the mothers day collection but it is still online to get hold of! I am in love with this bath bomb. The design and scent is just beautiful. I can already imagine how this will look when it is fizzing in my bath but I am too scared to use it as it is so pretty!

Which Came First? - If you love the smell of grapefruit like me, then you need to get hold of this bath bomb. A lovely girl in the shop said that you can use this one many times just by breaking it up if I really wanted to which I didn't know.

Twilight - Personal favourite and one I will always pick up again and again is this bath bomb. This is the perfect treat for bed time when you just want to relax and settle in a shimmering deep purple bath. Trust me, if you have not picked this up before you really do need to.

beauty picks for spring

Suddenly Spring is upon us in the UK and I couldn't be more happier. As much as I love Winter, I adore tulips springing up along with daffodils. Little things like the air smelling of freshly cut grass (even though I have hay-fever) and seeing neighbours getting out their washing line because the sun is shining, makes me so happy.

Now I had to say goodbye to the tones of berries, I'm slowly getting back into the pastel colours. Right now I am loving blush pink, especially on clothes.

For highlighting my dewy Spring skin, I love to use the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette. Pairing this with a pinky coral blusher like Revlon Racy Rose Powder Blush gives me a natural look.

I don't have many bright lipsticks but I did pull out this Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in "Demure". This is a shy pink colour, easy to apply and it's shiny. The other day I decided to get this NYX Professional Matte Lipstick in "Antwerp". I had seen this colour on a couple of people but was scared to give it a try as it is quite 'out there' meaning bright. But I really think this could be a favourite for Spring and Summer.

For fragrance, I've pulled out my favourite Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. It has a soft feminine scent along with the pretty daisy bottle. It's the perfect fragrance for the warmer weather! For a lovely body mist I love this Pink Grapefruit from The Body Shop. I tend to wear this one quite a lot especially in the warmer days. For something sweet I tend to grab Zoella's Sweet Inspirations Mist.

On my nails, I will be wearing a lot of Essie Mint Candy Apple which is a lovely pastel blue colour. Another one, Essie Meet Me At Sunset, is a bright orange/red shade that I just can't get enough of!

For a little bit of pamper, Lush Lemony Flutter is great for giving your cuticles a little helping. The scent reminds me of lemon curd, so beware you might want to eat your fingers after you have applied this. Another product for your hand is this Pink Grapefruit Hand Cream from The Body Shop. Their hand creams are my favourite, they make your hands feel lovely and not claggy.

meeting meerkats

Yesterday me and Sean finally went to meet some meerkats as part of a Christmas present from my parents. We travelled to Mansfield which took us an hour and thirty minutes in the car. On arrival we made it to Willow Tree Farm which was tiny and had other animals. We waited until our slot which was 3 o'clock to meet our new furry friends. When we got to the small pit where they were kept, four meerkats appeared to greet us. I had seen meerkats before but I never expected them to be how they was up close and personal.

A lovely girl also named Paige gave us a small plastic tubs full of scrambled eggs and meal worms, soon enough all four meerkats were around us. I couldn't believe what they were like, so friendly and calm. Their was one girl and three boys, their names were Lottie, Ander, Frankie and my personal favourite Timon.
Soon after the food was eaten, they were all about exploring us. Ander ended up in my hood, which came as a surprise as you can see from the photos.
Overall the experience was so lovely and was worth it. If you know somebody who would love a gift like this, their are loads of great deals on Wowcher or Groupon.

places to get the best affordable stationery

Ever since I started blogging 2 years ago, I have always been on the look out for the best stationery. I now have a collection of notebooks, pens and organisers that I have found in shops like Homesense, Flying Tiger, TK Maxx and many more. I try and stay clear of the most expensive brands for stationery, although I found this Kate Spade Sticky Note Set in Rose Gold from John Lewis and you could say it is pretty expensive for just some sticky notes but I couldn't resist it. Now to help you find the best stationery...

Homesense: I have probably talked about homesense so many times before because it is one of my favourite shops at the moment. They have EVERYTHING you can think of. Their stationery collection is just the best, the adulting and to do note books were very cheap! If you're asking why I must of bought these it is because they are rose gold and just pretty.

Flying Tiger: Another great cheap and cheerful shop is The Flying Tiger. I found some Kate Spade set of pencils dupes for just £1! They say things like "for explaining things or for invisible messages", I did get them a while ago so I'm not sure if they will have them but it is worth looking.

Zoella Lifestyle: Pencils that are still in their packaging and yet to be opened are these from Zoella's Lifestyle range. For affordable stationery and something pretty, Zoella's range is pretty much that. I still have my eye on the Once Upon A Time Journal which I know is a bit pricey but it is huge.

Kikki-K: One online website I recently came across was Kikki-K. I recently got myself a food planner which I have been using so much of. You come across so many gems on their website and have really good sales if you're on it at the right time.

Where do you shop for your stationery?

iphone 7 plus review!

So the other day I finally got an early upgrade for a new phone and I was beyond excited as I knew what I wanted to get. I previously had the iPhone 6 16GB on a 12 month contract. I love waiting for new releases especially from Apple so I figured when I had the early upgrade I would get one of the recent phones.

When I had heard about the iPhone 7 plus having the dual camera, I couldn't resist. Honestly the only thing I was worried about with this phone was the size; especially because it was a big hop from the 6. But you can carry on reading my thoughts below...

The dual camera is the main reason why I went with this phone. When I had the 6 I was always taking photos of everything so having a great phone camera meant a lot to me. You can really tell the difference between for example my old phone camera compared to this one. Whenever I would zoom in on my 6 the photo wouldn't be as sharp so the quality wouldn't be so great, where as the 7 plus if you zoom in the photo is sharp quality. Portrait mode is becoming my obsession, I have been taking more photos of everything. You can see photos below using this...
The size is something that I surprisingly got used to straight away. I love to watch Youtube videos on my phone so having a big clear screen was a bonus. I have no problems using or texting on it, everything just looks so crisp on it.
Battery life on this phone is insane, I don't need to charge it as much as I used to with my iPhone 6.

One thing I heard before I got this phone was about the removal of the headphone jack. This bothered a lot of people, for me it isn't a big deal. In the box mine came with headphones, which I thought was weird until I saw the little adapter (which I will lose fairly soon) that plugs into the lightening port, the same as where you charge your phone. It is so hard to get used to that part at the moment.

Overall I am seriously impressed with this phone and the camera. I love how fast the battery life is and the size really doesn't bother me. I'm really happy I went with this upgrade!

What do you think of my iPhone 7 plus review?

spring beauty wishing

After having a good look through my make-up stash recently I noticed that I hadn't really had any Spring beauty. When I say Spring beauty I mean not any blushers, highlights or pink lipsticks. I feel like as soon as a new season rolls around I like to have a splurge on new bits and there's nothing wrong with that...(unless my bank account has a say.)

I had a good mooch online to find some bits that I would love to try this Spring/Summer. So, my wishlist is full of dreamy pinks, heavenly fragrances and shimmery products. Let's just hope I can find some room for these...

my heavenly skin care from lush

Today I thought that I would share with you my heavenly skin care from Lush. Now I call them heavenly because they truly are. I only started buying these treats a couple of months ago as I always just bought the bath bombs until I was convinced one day when I was in the Birmingham store. My collection has grown since then, so here I am to share with you my favourites...

Sleepy Body Lotion - Sadly this is no longer in store or online as I think it is only around the Christmas collections. But I have to say that this is my favourite one out of all of them. After I have had a nice hot bath before bed, I add this to my skin because it's calming, helps you drift off to sleep and sinks into your skin so quickly. It's the perfect wintertime cream that's twilight scented. It contains skin softening oats, coco butter and lavender.

Cup O' Coffee Face & Body Mask - As soon as you open this tub you are hit with the incredible scent of coffee. I have already nearly used all of this up and I love it. My skin loves it and I should think so as I apply a good helping , leave it on for 5 minutes and then apply a little warm water, and gently scrub to remove it. It wakes up my skin which is bloomin' marvellous!

D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap - Now this one is fairly new to my collection. As I was making an online order I came across this and I just couldn't resist. I think I'm very new to the party but I never knew Lush did shaving soaps. This is just as pink and fluffy as you'd expect. It feels like some sort of foam and is scented with strawberry and vanilla. I tried this out the first time the other day on my legs and it really works like a treat. My legs felt so soft and smelt lovely afterwards. If you're looking to invest in a new hair removal treatment, I would definitely get this one!

Salted Coconut Hand Scrub - When the cold days hit us in the UK, I wanted to get myself a really good hand cream/scrub so I went to trusty Lush for help. I came across this tub and I was hooked instantly. I take a small scoop of this and massage it onto my dry hands. Add a little water and then rinse to cleanse. It contains coconut oil, sea salt, aragan oil and lemon which leaves hands so so soft and hydrated. This is a cold weather saviour.

Snow Fairy Body Conditioner - Same as Sleepy this one is also not available in store or online, but I just needed to share this one with you. My showers have become such a treat lately with this product. Whilst I'm in the shower I simply slather this cream all over my skin, rinse and then pat dry to allow the conditioning, and oils to sink in. You smell of a sweet scent that lingers on for hours.
