my top 4 party season outfits

Christmas is not so long away now and Christmas parties have begun - the highstreet is blooming with those party outfits. I have already got my Christmas outfit sorted but these 4 were my favourites. Missguided, ASOS and Pretty Little Thing are great places to browse for that perfect Christmas outfit...
party season outfits (1)
Sequin Cut Out Playsuit - Missguided: £40 - Sparkly outfits are a must for Christmas especially if you want to stand out at your work Christmas do. I have always been a big playsuit fan as I sometimes feel uncomfortable in a short dress. I absolutely love it because you could style it with a leather jacket and maybe a sparkly bag. Wearing stilettos would probably make it a knock out look.

Shift Dress - Missguided: £35 - I really love the 60's style of dresses recently with the high neck and in the classic shape. You could easily make this very retro with simple shoes and a clutch bag. This would've actually been the one I'd buy if I didn't already have an outfit.

Sequin Stripe Jumpsuit - ASOS: £85 - A pricey number but I love it. If you aren't a fan of a dress but want the sparkly effect, then this would be perfect for you. It is so simple but also elegant at the same time. You could wear this again for any occasion.

Scoop Back Sequin Dress - Pretty Little Thing: £30 (SALE) - Now if you really want to look your best at your work do, then this would be absolutely perfect for that. I love the style of this dress, with how oversized it is so you can scoop the back so you can show some skin. It is very sparkly but that's what Christmas is all about. It looks so flattering!

Which one of these outfits would you style?

visiting the christmas markets - birmingham

Being a huge lover of Christmas, naturally Birmingham's Christmas Market has been on my to do list for many years as I was born and still live in the city. With a couple of work friends, we decided to kick off the Christmas season and made our way to the market. If you are thinking of attending the Frankfurt Christmas Market or just want to know more about it, then here are my five top things I have learned:
Start your experience off with a beer! The Germans know how to make good quality beer and the market is just full of stalls offering just that. You'll pay around £4 a pint, plus a £3 deposit on the glass which you can either take back to the bar or keep yourself. Some stalls offer the paper cup option but if you want the experience then you should definitely go for the glass.

Attend the market on an empty stomach! Trust me when I say you will not go hungry at the market, never have I seen so many food stalls in my life. Start off with a yummy hot dog. If you are not a fan of sausages there are plenty of other stalls offering hog roasts. If you are foolish enough to eat before arriving to the market there are plenty snack options like a pretzel and roast chestnuts. For those with a sweet tooth save room for waffles and nutella crepes!

Warm up with a hot chocolate or mulled wine! "If the weather outside is frightful" then nothing can be more delightful than a hot drink. You'll find the stalls offer more than your average mug of hot chocolate. You can get anything from brandy to baileys added, as well as marshmallows and cream.

Get those last minute Christmas gifts! It was not just those yummy food stalls that caught my eye, there is plenty more to see. You can find traditional Christmas decor like nutcrackers, of all shapes and sizes and wreaths. Besides the festive gifts you can also find things like handmade jewellery, candles, and woolly hats. The market is a great place to find unique gifts and inspiration for those who are hard to buy for.

End your day by going ice skating! The ice skating rink is a definite must do. Even if you have never skated before it still is a fun experience especially with friends. It's £9.50 for adults for 49 minutes on the ice. There is also a photographer that's always on the ice with you if you would like a picture taken with your group of friends to treasure forever.

Have you visited the Birmingham Christmas Market or any other ones?

lush haul (5)

While I was doing a little Christmas shopping I decided to go into the one shop that excites me, Lush. I saw all the Christmas products and I just found myself screaming inside with joy. I don't think anyone like myself can go into Lush and resist buying anything - If you can I'm extremely jealous of you! I had already bought a few bits on my previous trip to Lush but I saw these products and I couldn't just leave without trying them out.

MMMelting Marshmallow Moment - Bath Oil: Doesn't this look like something you would get from a pick n mix? The smell is so strong of sweet marshmallow. So these kind of work like bath bombs, you just put them into your bath and they melt slowly, rather than fizzing like the bombs. This is such a cute little melt - it smells just like candy!
The Magic Of Christmas - Reusable Bubble Bar: This one truly captures Christmas, I mean just look at it! It smells of oranges and candid fruits. Like the Magic Wand, it is reusable and you can get up to 10 baths out of the product according to the girl who served me in Lush.
Big Bang - Bubble Bar: This isn't the biggest bubble bar in the world, but that doesn't bother me much to be honest. It's a beautiful blue shade, with yellow dots around it and a big pink star in the middle. The pink star is actually a bath melt. I'm really excited to see what this brings to my bath time.
Bar Humbug - Bubble Bar: Although this doesn't smell too Christmassy, I really do like the scent! It smells like liquorice and blackcurrant which is a nice alternative to my favourite which is The Comforter this winter.
Snow Fairy - Shower Gel: Every year I see bloggers stocking up on the festive favourite so that they can use it all year round - so I thought I would buy it to see what all the hype was about. And now I see why! It smells bloomin' gorgeous! I may have to buy myself another bottle.

the christmas tag

What are in the photos?
Acorns Christmas Decorations - Paperchase
Christmas Bell Hair Scrunchie - ASOS
The Magic Of Christmas Wand - Lush
Christmas Pudding Beanie - Matalan (Similar Here)
Jingle All The Way DVD - Amazon
  1. What is your favourite Christmas film? There are so many to choose from, but I'd probably have to say Jingle All The Way. I watch this every Christmas without fail. You obviously can't beat The Grinch and Elf, those and other films really do get me into the festive spirit.
  2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? I tend to open one present on Christmas Eve which is just new pyjamas to wear for Christmas morning. I have done this ever since I was a kid so it's become a tradition for me now. Then we open all the other presents on Christmas morning and some when we meet up with our family.
  3. Do you have a Christmas memory? When I was younger my grandparents would take me to this neighbourhood that decorated all their houses so amazing. Like I'm talking lights that flash along to Christmas music. I loved just sitting in the back of the car looking at all the amazing decorations.
  4. Favourite Festive Food? I LOVE pigs in blanket. When my mum does the Christmas dinner she always gives me extra because she knows how much I love them.
  5. Favourite Christmas Gift? This is a tough one but I'll never forget when my parents wrapped a big box and every time I opened it another box would show up and then another and so on. When I got to the last box it contained McFLY tickets! I was literally so happy as this was my first McFLY concert of many more to come.
  6. Favourite Christmas Scent? At the moment I am loving cinnamon and I have a candle that smells of Holiday spices. It is bloomin' gorgeous.
  7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions? I tend to just sit with the family and watch many Christmas films and munch on so much chocolate.
  8. What's on the top of your tree? It is a big silver star. It used to be an angel but she broke. (sad emoji face)
  9. As a kid what was one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received? I never asked for any certain present when I was younger and still don't. I am over the moon with whatever I do get.
  10. What is the best part about Christmas for you? Spending time with my loved ones. It makes me so happy to see my relatives happy.

christmas wishlist (2)

christmas wshlist (2)
Fujifilm Instant Mini 8 Camera In White - Amazon // Matte Lipstick In "Glastonberry" - Charlotte Tilbury // Pug Print PJ Set - Topshop // Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette In "The Vintage Vamp" - John Lewis // Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate - Hotel Cholat // Mary Berry Cookery Book - Waterstones // Star Shine Ring - Pandora // Christmas Mug - Cath Kidston

The festive shopping has begun and here I am today to bring you what I am hoping is under my tree this year. Shame I couldn't add Harry Styles to the mix, but I could just hope and pray, right? Starting with a Fujifilm Instant Mini 8 Camera which I have been wanting in like FOR-EVER and I was going to buy one but it only ever comes to mind when it's Christmas. It's perfect for when you are with your family and can just take photos. And instead of adding a filter and making your face look 100 times better you can just get that nostalgic feeling of getting your photos developed and not knowing what to expect. There's also something honest about that perfectly imperfect photograph. Charlotte Tilbury's lipsticks are probably on every bloggers wishlist. Why? Because they are so pretty and classic. They have incredible lasting power and don't dry out your lips. I know everyone's favourite is "Glastonberry" which is an intense berry shade. If you buy me this, I will probably wear it and then kiss your face all over. One of the things I do love to receive on Christmas morning are new pyjamas. Seriously, once I get those new pyjamas I will wear them the whole of Christmas day, they are so comfortable and these pug ones from Topshop look so adorable. This Charlotte Tilbury palette is just made for Christmas - it's just perfect. I bet you are now wondering why I added hot chocolate to this wishlist. Well, if you didn't know I absolutely love hot chocolates and salted caramel...so them being together just sounded heavenly. Hotel Chocolat do drinkable delights. Now I am back into my baking I need to know a lot from the star baker herself Mary Berry and her book. Lot's of ladies will be waking up Christmas morning hoping to find a lovely piece of jewellery under their tree and I am feeling how they feel. I love this star ring from Pandora, it would remind me of Christmas every day. Lastly a mug to add to my collection which is a Christmas one from Cath Kidston. I love their mugs so much and this one would be perfectly to have a tasty beverage in.
