my week in snapshots (1)

I am loving Instagram a lot more recently so I have been taking a few snaps of a few things that have happened this week. So here I am to share with you what I have been up to! I love reading Instagram update posts as I always find new accounts to follow, let me know your user below and I will check out your account.

1. I posted a picture of these lovely pancakes that I have been craving from this really nice place that does brunch. I love my pancakes and bacon, it's the perfect combination most definitely.

2. On Saturday night me and my boyfriend went to a masquerade ball hosted at his student union at his University. We had been looking forward to this night for weeks. We got our masks from Ebay for ridiculously cheap prices so we were ready for the party. Lawson were the main band performing for the ball so it was pretty good. I had heard of their music before so I was excited. It was a great night and I can finally tick it off my bucket list as I had always wanted to go to a masquerade ball.

3. Of course I posted a snap of my Lush haul like most Instagramers do. I did write a full post of what I did buy which you can read here.

4. Basically with this snap, I was very hungry and I wanted coffee, so I went to Costa Coffee and Subway. I tried Subways new bacon and steak 6 inch, wowser it was bloomin' lovely. Then I just had my regular costa caramel cappuccino.

5. I had a delivery and it was these happy plugs earphones from Amazon. I have needed new earphones for SO SO LONG. Like, just imagine listening to music and just having one of the ear puds working...it ruined my days for many months. Until I came across these, rose gold...ROSE GOLD...earphones. I added them to my basket straight away. They match my rose gold coin purse and bag nicely. They are really good quality aswell, you can have a good read about them here.

6. Just a snap of what you expect when you go into Lush. The prettiness just made me take a photo. Enough said about that.

7. The Benefit mini products are my favourite thing at the moment. They are tempting me to buy the full versions which I know is a lot of money...but it's Benefit make-up!

8. Lastly is a snap of Dartmouth, Devon where I will be going this Sunday for a week. I am so so excited so expect a lot of snaps when I am down there.

So that is my week in snapshots, I hope you had a lovely week! Let me know below what your plans are for this week.

lush haul (6)

Hello all, here I am again with one of my popular posts, a Lush haul. I went on two separate Lush sprees. One of the stores didn't have my personal favourites but had two newbies. But I went to another store yesterday and I finally got my favourites that I continue to buy every time. You'll have probably seen me brag about a few of these bath treats but if not then do carry on reading.

Twilight Bath Bomb / £3.50 Each - A first personal favourite of mine. I absolutely love this bath bomb so much. It is designed to help you sleep so it's filled with lavender which is soothing, mind clearing and calming among other ingredients. It also looks so nice when it explodes into the water.
Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar / £4.25 Each - Now look at this beauty, just take it all in. It is a Unicorn Horn! I remember buying this a few months back but it was a little bit bigger and it had small stars inside of it. This is perfect for those gloomy dull days that we are currently having here in the UK with his dreamy smell and the magic it creates in the bath.
The Comforter Bubble Bar / £4.95 Each - Ah the reliable Comforter Bubble Bar. I just love this product and how many baths you can get out of it. Also, if you love a pink bath like myself then this does just that. It turns into a gorgeous pink shade and smells beautiful. I still haven't picked up the shower gel version and it really bugs me every time I miss it. Maybe next time...
Lover Lamp Bath Bomb / £3.95 Each - A newbie to the Valentines crew is this bath bomb. This is super cute and it smells like Terry's white chocolate orange with a bit of vanilla. One of the lovely girls in the shop said that when the love hearts come out of the ball, you can rub them all over your skin as they contain cocoa butter. I cannot wait to use this.
Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb / £3.50 Each - I always buy this bath bomb without a fail. I love it so much. You can see a full review on it here. I need to buy at least many more of these when I do go into Lush because once I have used one I am so unhappy.

boots haul (1)

On Saturday I decided to head over to Boots as I had vouchers through the post to use. I didn't really have a list of what I wanted to try like I normally do but I did find some products that I was excited to see so I did buy them. And I did get a lot of points for them! If you are looking into going into Boots soon then carry on reading.

Soap And Glory "No Clogs Allowed" Detox Face Mask - £11.50 - I was recommended this by a lovely sales assistant in Boots. She said it had worked wonders for her skin and she even said that she had people compliment her on how glowing her skin was. I instantly put it in my basket. I have never used Soap and Glory's skin care products before so I am very excited about trying this one out.
Dove Pomegranate Go Fresh Deodorant - £2.99 - I am currently using the roll on version of this so I had to buy the spray. I love the smell so much and Dove has always been my favourite brand for deodorants as they last longer throughout the day.
Bioderma Sensibio H20 - £10.50 - What can I say I love this product so much! I bought the travel version just to try a couple of months ago and I loved it. It removes my make up in a flash and it's so gentle on my skin. Just wish it wasn't so expensive!
Soap And Glory "Archery" 2-In-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush - £8.00 - I tried this for the first time yesterday and wow it's so good. It's great value for money and comes with a brush attached. The pencil part is nothing like the original archery pencil it's much thinner and softer but not too soft it breaks. It creates fine strokes which make your brows look so natural.
Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara - £5.99 - I used this mascara yesterday and I do like it. It really lengthens my lashes but it can be wet and clumpy if you use too much. It really helped when I curled my lashes before applying this.
When I was walking around the beauty section I came across a stand near to where the Benefit counter was which had mini Benefit products. The deal was that you buy 4 of them for £15. So I went for...

I am excited to try out all these products and there will be reviews very soon on each of them. So make sure you follow me on bloglovin'

three fragrances you need to have

I find fragrances quite the task to talk about and I'm also very picky when it comes to finding the perfect scent. Thankfully the ones I do wear, I actually adore so much! So here's the mini round up of the ones I use...

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream, £70 - I never really had any of the other Marc Jacobs perfumes until my birthday in November when I opened up this beauty. I think everybody has swooned over the bottle, it is so pretty! I feel like this is such a grown up version of the original Daisy, it's very fruity - with grapefruit, blackberry and pear. I really like it, I think it's beautiful both alone and layered up with something less fruity. Even if you aren't a fan of Daisy, I think you would probably adore this.

Rihanna Rogue Love, £23 - I have been reaching for this one every single day. I opened it on Christmas day and I was so happy. If I were to summarize the scent I'd say it's very sexy and sensual. It's definitely a great evening scent as it's quite strong and it has a perfect mix of sweet and musky notes. It's definitely one worth sniffing - I love it!

Cheryl Stormflower, £40 - The first thing I love about this is the bottle. The delicate yet exotic flower design in gold and it's not tacky looking. This one is an ideal day time fragrance. It's mostly fruity, with notes of mandarin and nectarine, without being too orange-y.

Do you like any of these scents?

my first glossy box 2016

A couple of days ago I decided to subscribe to GLOSSY Box. GLOSSY Box offer 4 full sized products that are worth £50 all for £10, plus postage and packaging a month. I was very excited to receive my first box today. Below I will list the 4 products that I have got.

- Unani Dermo Defense Face Mask / I was excited when I saw a face mask was included! As I get really oily and a blemished skin my face needs a special treatment. And I tend to use face masks to help that. It says to apply it once a week evenly over a cleansed face. So this will be included in my skin care routine.
- Madara Cellular Repair Serum / I had never used a repair serum before so I don't know much about them. But I am willing to give this one a try as it is said to boost hydration into your skin.
- Teeez Cosmetics Oasis Dem Lipstick / I loved the look of this lipstick when I saw it. I had never heard of this brand before so I'm excited to see what this lipstick is like. It is said to keep lips nourished for the wintery months ahead. It has coconut oil in it to keep your lips hydrated, a bit like a lip balm. I love the colour aswell.
- GLOSSY Box Eyeshadow In Glossy Mauve / GLOSSY have kindly added one of their own products which is a satin eyeshadow. I cannot wait to wear this!
- Maria Nila Luminous Color Hair Masque / I have always wanted to use a hair masque! I cannot wait to try this one out. It smells incredible! It is said to give you the glossiest locks ever.

my favourite pinterest board

I have been using Pinterest so much recently and I have to say that my favourite things to pin are pictures of people's home decor, like every other person who uses Pinterest! I don't even have my own place yet but when I pin a picture of someone's home, I already know that is how I want my home to look. It really gives me inspiration as well as a bit of envy. This board will come to great use when the day comes when I get to decorate my own place.

payday wishlist (8)

wishlist

I have no idea why I have titled this post "payday wishlist (8)" as I am on a spending ban this month, which means this was like a form of torture when I was making this. But let's just say that these are the things I probably would buy with my pay cheque! Here are what I am lusting over at the moment, in my first wishlist of 2016...

1. Cord Pinafore Dress, Topshop £39.00 - I have been after a red pinafore dress for so long and this one from Topshop is an urgent need because it is perfect!
2. Bouncy Sleeping Mask, The BodyShop £24.00 - I read all about The Body Shop's new collection in this months Cosmopolitan magazine a couple days ago and I couldn't stop thinking about their new sleeping mask. I have always wanted to try a sleeping mask as I wake up with irritating skin in the mornings, so I think this will be needed in my nightly skin routine at some point.
3. Ribbed Stripe Long Sleeve Top, New Look £19.99 - New Look have so many staple items that I want at the moment - the sort of clothes you can just wear with anything and will never get bored of. I love this one especially for the stripes and the long sleeves which make it perfect for this cold weather we still have.
4. High Waisted Leggings, New Look £12.99 - I once had a pair of check leggings from Topshop and they were just like these from New Look. They are so easy to style especially in the colder days with a long jumper and boots. They make a casual look more stylish.
5. NARS Satin Lip Pencil, Look Fantastic £19.00 - I have only ever bought ONE thing from NARS and I need to change that as I love the look of these lip pencils. I've got my eye on Biscayne Park which is a peach shade.
6. Naked Basics Palette, Debenhams £23.00 - I loved wearing eye shadow's all year, so this year I want to do the same with a famous palette. This one from Naked seems like the perfect starter for that.
7. Vans Disney Jungle Book Shoes, Vans £52.00 £36.40 - LOOK FOR THE BARE NECESSITIES, THE SIMPLE BARE NECESSITIES...you know the rest I'm sure. But how GREAT are these from Vans?! As a Disney lover I need to own these.
8. Happy Plugs Rose Gold Earphones, Amazon £14.99 - Oh how much I am missing listening to music in private and being in my own little world. Yes, you have guessed it, I have lost my earphones. Now is the perfect opportunity to get these lovely rose gold ones to match my bag accessories...

out with the old, in with the new

I had been wanting new hair straighteners for years and the other week I decided it was time. For 5 years I was using my trusty GHD's that I got for a birthday present. I had my eye on BaByliss' Gold Hair Straighteners for a while so they were the first on my mind when looking for some newer ones. I popped into Argos as they had a sale and they were the only place I could find these straighteners at a reasonable price. I was a happy bunny when that box came down the ramp with many other goods. I was so excited to go back home and try these baby's out.

When I got home I took them out of the box and wow I was in love. I tried them out on my dull morning hair, and they instantly made my hair so smooth and straight. It amazed me when they heated up in 30 seconds, my old GHD's would take a minute to heat up. The controls are simplistic and designed so you can get the most out of the tool without overdoing it, thanks to three heat up settings that reach up to 235 degrees within seconds. Although the heat is over powering, it doesn't feel like it is damaging your hair.

If you're in the market for a new pair of straighteners this year and are a little intimidated by some of the more expensive brands and their super-charged heat settings, then BaByliss off an affordable alternative that doesn't scrimp on performance.

cosmopolitan fragrance 30ml bottle

In December I was lucky enough to receive an email from the team at Cosmopolitan, The Fragrance who wanted writers/bloggers to try out their new fragrance. I obviously said yes and here I am today to share with you what I thought.
I do love to read Cosmopolitan magazine whenever I can get my hands on it on the news-stand. I got this months issue which features Millie Mackintosh on the front cover (BABE ALERT.) I always find the articles more fun to read than from any other glossy magazine as they can be personal so you can find yourself laughing at some of them. You also see fellow bloggers making appearances inside the magazine.

But onto the fragrance...here's what the Cosmopolitan team says about it:
The fragrance is captured in fresh sparkling top notes of mandarin, bergamot and red berries. Then comes the surprisingly seductive heart: hypnotic night- blooming jasmine and the powdery sweetness of heliotrope. Pimento berries give it a rich shot of spice, white carrot seed offers something earthy and unexpected. The base will linger on your skin long after you've sprayed, with powerful patchouli, comforting vanilla and the tobacco-like qualities of tonka.

As soon as I read all of that, I was hooked. The smell is pretty good, reminds me of Spring/Summer which would be the time I would probably use it. The bottle is so joyful to look at with the juice inside. It's so colourful, art-decor-inspried and it does look elegant next to my other perfume bottles.

lush the magic of christmas wand bubble bar

Lush's The Magic Of Christmas - £5.95 Each
I know I am a little late with this now but I still haven't talked about how much I love The Magic Of Christmas Wand from Lush. I used this over Christmas and I couldn't get enough. The smell and the bubbles it creates is amazing. I got at least 3-4 baths from this as it is reusable and you can just break off small pieces.
The bar is shaped like a star and is placed at the end of a cinnamon stick with a red ribbon and a small bell tied on it. It is so beautiful to look at with it's burnt orange shade covered in gold glimmer. It has an almond smell to it along with the cinnamon. You can make pretty swirls in the water when you move it around in the water to make it a light orange shade. I couldn't smell the cinnamon as soon as it hit the water, just that lovely orange smell that wasn't too strong. I will most likely buy this again when it is released in Lush.
