my 10-step morning checklist

Today I thought I would share with you my 10-step morning checklist so I have the best day ever. I was always never a morning person, always a night howler. But recently things have changed since I have switched up my routine. It's made me have some good days, some the best even. So here are my 10 tips...(these are not in any order btw)
(1) Set out your clothes the night before: I've recently done this so it saves me rushing around in the morning finding my clothes. It also saves so much time in the morning.

(2) Wake up earlier: Set your alarm for 15 minutes earlier than you're used to. This was tough for me as hitting that snooze button on my phone was a bit of a habit.

(3) Go to the light: I wear a eye mask to bed every night as I heard it helps get rid of bags from under your eyes. So I never see the sunlight until I take them off. What I tend to do is open my blinds and stare out the window just for a couple of seconds. Sunlight is the best motivator to wake up.

(4) Drink water: The best way to jump-start your body first thing is to drink a glass of cool water. I now keep a bottle of water beside my bed every night so that when I wake up in the morning it's the first thing I drink.

(5) Get ready: Go for a shower and follow your regular beauty routine.

(6) Set one goal: Stop and meditate on setting one goal for the day.

(7) Leave on time: Strive yourself to leave 5 minutes earlier than you normally do for work, school or university.

(8) Eat breakfast: The amount of times I used to go without breakfast but there is always somewhere in your town that can make a fast breakfast so you can grab-and-go. If not have a cereal bar while on the go.

(9) Pre-pack your lunch: Most people already know to pack their lunch the night before. But to save some more time in the morning, fully pack it in the bag you'll carry it in. Include your drinks aswell, then leave in the fridge ready to go. If you want to add an ice pack, that should be the only thing you need to add in the morning.

(10) Play music: Music helps get everyone moving and motivated to wake up and start the day.

Are there any other things that you do to help the morning run smoothly?

my spring lipsticks

I've finally got out my Spring lipsticks which means goodbye to my Kate Moss 107 which is my favourite dark purple lipstick and hello to the oranges, pinks and nudes. I thought I would share with you my picks for this Spring/Summer. They aren't high end lipsticks as I thought I would give you a taste of what drug-stores have to offer!

Starting with my all time favourite orange lipstick which is part of Revlons Lip Butter Lipsticks in the shade "Tutti Frutti". I remember watching an Essie Button video and she raved all about this lipstick, soon enough I bought it and since then it has been my favourite. The lipsticks are so creamy and moisturising yet offers a really decent amount of coverage, just what you need to keep your lips beautifully soft!

Onto another orange lipstick that I found hidden somewhere in my room and then I realised this was one of the first lipsticks I ever bought! It's Rimmel's "Coral In Gold". It's a beautiful colour, not too bright like other coral colours. Now I have found it I think I will be wearing it a lot more.

Two more Revlon lipsticks now and these are my absolute favourite. Their ColourBurst Lacquer Balms in the shades "Honey Douce" and "Demure Reservee". These crayons are so eye catching and appealing. Honey Douce is a pretty pinky purple colour which is a great everyday colour. Demure Deservee is a shimmery pink which is perfect for those Spring evenings. It is very bold once applied to the lips.

A moisture next for the lips and I have chosen The Body Shop's Born Lippy in "Watermelon". This smells so so good. I love to use this in the Summer if my lips get dry but have that smell to my lips. It's very moisturising and for £2 it is a bargain!

Lastly is a new addition that I cannot wait to start using which is Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker - Pink Collection in "Pink Up, Girl". I love this shade, I tried it out yesterday with my winged liner look and it matched perfectly. I can't wait to wear this out a lot more this Summer. You can see a full review on this lipstick here.

5 smoothies to make - summer

Summer is all about the yummy drinks especially Smoothies. I have gotten my blender out recently and I am enjoying making some Smoothies from recipes that I have found on Pinterest. I thought I would share with you my top 5 recipes that I want to make this Summer. If you like the sound of any of these Smoothies then do let me know below which one you will be making.
You can also follow my Smoothie board on my Pinterest!
Pink Lemonade Smoothie - I absolutely love pink lemonade as it reminds me of Summer so much. I had never heard of a Smoothie version before and now I really can't wait to make this.
Hawaiian Berry Smoothie - This Smoothie is two layers and it sounds AMAZING. One layer is orange which contains mango and the purple layer is berries.
Peach Fruit Smoothie - For a breakfast Smoothie I have chosen this one. Peaches are certainly a delicious treat in the Summer, they add so much flavour to desserts and snacks. This could be my new favourite breakfast Smoothie.
Raspberry Sunrise Smoothie - I have made a mango and raspberry smoothie before and it has to be my absolute favourite. This one is enough to get your morning going especially on a Monday!
Banana Peach Green Smoothie - I love banana's in Smoothies and this peach green one looks really nice. I would never of thought to add peach with banana's, but I am willing to give it a try.

soap and glory sexy mother pucker lipsticks

I never realised Soap And Glory did lipsticks until I popped to their little stand in Boots. So I thought I would buy 1 from each collection (Nudes, Reds & Pinks.) I have tried them all since then and now I can tell you what I think of them!
You can choose from 3 finishes. Matte, Satin and High Shine. I went for the shades Naked Talent, Wine Not?, Pink Up, GirlLipsticks with a satin finish are my favourite as I personally am not a fan of matte lipsticks any more.
They all remind me of my favourite high end lipsticks in finish and colour. They apply beautifully and last for ages! Personally I think it is best to get them in the satin finish so you don't have that sticky wet look on your lips. It's just the right amount of opaque colour and shine.

Ah Spring is finally here and I have already started buying bits and pieces to make my Spring wardrobe look more acceptable. Normally I tend to buy dark colours but now I am opening up to all the pastel and florals. And ASOS is winning right now, with Spring dresses, bikini galore and very pretty accessories.
I decided to add my top 8 items that I will most likely purchase and to give you a little look at what ASOS have to offer.

april glossy box

I came home to a lovely delivery the other day from Glossy Box. I was looking forward to seeing what I got in this months box and I got to say, it is my favourite so far! I am excited to use all of these beauty bits.
Carry on reading below to see what I got...

- Leighton Denny Expert Nails (Miracle Mist) / If you are like me and hate waiting for your nails to dry, then this could be for you. Although I am currently using my Seche Vite top coat on my nails which makes them dry faster, I wouldn't mind giving this spray a try.

- The Body Shop (Oils Of Life Facial Oil) / When I've been to The Body Shop, I have seen this product but just never thought to try it and now I can. My complexion needs to be revived and this product is suppose to do just that. If I do end up loving it then I will have to buy the full size.

- Next (Make Me Beautiful Eye Blue Quad) / I sadly can't find this online but I have linked you to where they sell other eyeshadow palettes. I was quite taken back when I saw this palette in the box. I have never worn blue eyeshadow EVER just because the thought puts me off. Although I have seen many lovely blue make-up looks so it can't hurt to try.

- Studio 10 (Brow Lift Perfecting Liner) / Honestly when it comes to brows I use my trusty Benefit Brow Zing because I find it so much easier to do my brows without using a pencil. So maybe this one will go to a friend who uses brow pencil.

- STYLondon (Temporary ''Henna Tattoos") / Now this will be passed on to somebody in my family who loves this sort of thing. It's a great idea because of all the Summer festivals coming along but sadly I don't think I will be using this.

a trip to brighton

So a couple of months ago before Sean's 21st birthday I booked up a surprise small trip for us to go to Brighton and the other day it finally happened. I was really excited as I and Sean had never been to Brighton before.

We Stayed at The Artist Residence, where I had seen Bloggers go for events so I thought I would book us a room there. I'm so glad I did because it is a beautiful hotel. The staff are so lovely and it's amazing value for money.
Our first morning in the hotel we were so excited for Breakfast. It was very delicious every time. The first morning we both had mini full English breakfasts and then on our last day I had Greek yoghurt pancakes.
We had dinner at the Set Cafe one night, it was incredible and our table was in front of the kitchen so it was a very fun dining experience watching the chefs cook.
They also have a Cocktail Shack; which is a cocktail bar. We enjoyed having a few drinks in there before heading out for a meal.
I really recommend you stay here if you're ever in Brighton.

We spent most of our days wondering the cute Laines as there is so much to stumble across. I really loved George Street which had places like Snoopers Paradise for all the knick knacks. It's pretty much a big car boot sale. They had a photo-booth inside where you can dress up and act silly for your photos. There was a shop called Berts Homestore where we got a few gifts for our friends/family from and just general bits for ourselves.

A little far away but 42@six is also worth a visit if you love cold-pressed-juice. I tried one called "Un'Beet'Able", it had carrot, apple, beetrout and lemon. Was really yummy.
For food a place called Creperie which is just off the Brighton seafront and I got the best crepe I have ever had. One evening we did have dinner at a restaurant called The Salt Room where I had amazing fish.

Visited The Sealife Centre which is located right by the Brighton Pier. We did go on the Brighton wheel, a great way to see the whole of Brighton especially on a gorgeous sunny day.
No doubt that we will be back in Brighton soon, as it is such a delightful little city.

We did film a Vlog (our first one in fact) if you want to watch the trip in action...

bronnley england fragrance

Sometime last month I won a competition on Twitter with Bronnley England. I won their *30ml Zealous Flower* perfume and the *Eclectic Elements Collection*. Truthfully I had not heard of this brand before and now I wonder why it has taken me so long. If you're like me and have a soft spot for men's scents, then the Zealous Flower will be right up your street. Pink pepper, Amber, Pear, Jasmine and Mandarin dominate this perfume. It is all clean and fresh onto the skin. It might sound a tad mad but when I smell this fragrance, I could imagine a lady like Cara Delevingne to wear this scent.
The Eclectic Elements Collection box is just stunning. When I opened it I gasped as it really caught my attention. All I wanted to do was spray every scent onto my body. I don't have a favourite just yet but I do love them all. The scents include (From L-R) Zealous Flower (a small travel sized bottle of the 30ml) Wild Green, Crimson Cloud, Exotic Embers, Citrine Lagoon and Cosmic Bloom. They all sound amazing right? If only smell vision existed because I would let you all smell the scents.

sanders park

I am really starting to get into the swing of outfit posts. Usually I'm uncomfortable with the idea of someone taking photographs of me just standing awkwardly but now I have started to become my confident with my blog and myself even, that I want to show you all what I do wear. Recently I got a package delivered to my house and it was a rather big one in fact. If you didn't know this about me, I sometimes buy my clothes from Ebay, mostly being shipped from China. I always find lovely pieces and the most recent purchase was this jacket that I am wearing below. A bargain of just £7.12 I couldn't resist and it is perfect for Spring/Summer if it gets a bit chilly. The sleeves are also see through which you can only see up close. If you're interested in an Ebay clothing post let me know in the comments!

coconut lane - brand ambassador

I thought I would announce some special news but I'm sure you would know by my Twitter or Instagram that I am a Coconut Queen. This means that I am part of a team of bloggers to work alongside their website. If you haven't never heard of Coconut Lane then you need to check them out right now. While you're checking out their website and if you come across something you like, then please use this special discount code that I have been given for everyone that reads my blog! You get 20% off so you could get a pretty new phone case as they do have really unique ones. Or even some jewellery as they have a big range. My discount code will be at the bottom of this post so please check it out.
I thought I would also share with you what I have bought from their website most recently.

Twisted Nail Bangle In Rose Gold - How pretty is this bracelet? Now you must know by now if you have been reading my blog for a while that I am a big lover of Rose Gold/Copper and as soon as I saw this I had to buy it. Kylie Jenner has a bracelet very similar to this but it isn't $5,000 which is great news as I don't think I have that sort of money. I wear this bracelet all the time now ever since it got delivered. If you don't like Rose Gold, you can get it in Silver and Gold Plated.

"Messy Bun. Get Stuff Done" Wall Art - I have been loving wall art recently and as soon as I saw this one I had to get it. For work I always have my hair in a messy bun and it really does help me get stuff done. You can get a frame to go with the art but I decided to buy my own as I am so fussy when it comes to picture frames. So I found this one in B&M Bargains for £2! It goes perfectly well with the theme of my bedroom as the lovely ladies at Coconut Lane's Twitter page re-tweeted my picture shown above.

The special discount code for 20% off is 'milkyte420'

march favourites

March was another great month full of Easter eggs and hot cross buns. It was tough for me to figure out what to add to my favourites as I had loved many things last month. But here are ones that I have been loving and still love right now.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash (Similar) - A bargain I got last month was from The Body Shop's sale, I got this creamy face wash for £1! I used it through March as I had blemishes all over my face and I needed them to go away. And this stuff works like a treat. Sadly it isn't online but they do have one similar called squeaky-clean which apparently does the same thing so I will have to buy a bottle of that when I run out of their cool and creamy one.

Macarons De Paris - These babies were a recent find and they are Macarons from Morrisons. I was exploring the food aisles one day and I just came across them. Not sure if other supermarkets do them but Morrisons sell them for £3 and you get different flavours like Coffee, Vanilla, Pisatche, Citron, Chocolat and Fraise.

New Look Rose Gold Sunglasses - Now that we get some sunny days I can finally wear sunglasses and I love these from New Look. I am terrible for losing sunglasses, I think I have gone through over 10 pairs now. I wouldn't want to lose these as they are my favourite pair.

Bronnley London Fragrance In Zealous Flower - In March I won a great prize on Twitter from a company called Bronnley London. I will do a special post all about what I did win but I will say that I love their fragrance Zealous Flower. This smells so beautiful and the perfect Summer scent. I will go in more depth about this on a separate post so make sure you are following me if you are interested in reading that.

Coconut Lane Print "Messy Bun. Get Stuff Done". - Lastly is something from a special online company alled Coconut Lane. If you didn't know I am part of their team of Coconut Lane ambassadors which means my lovely readers/followers can receive a 20% off discount code from any purchase you make on their website. You can see the code on the side of my blog! I will do a special post also on this brand so that you can know more about them.
