my easter outfit

Happy Easter Everybody!
Today is all about the chocolate eggs and the nice Sunday roast dinner. This morning Sean planned out a cute egg hunt for me where he wrote down 3 clues leading to each egg. One card would be hard, another medium and an easy card. We also ate some M&S (Mark & Spencers) hot cross buns which had fudge in. Thank you to those on Twitter who told me where to get some from that didn't contain raisins. Later on this evening me and Sean will be making our first roast dinner together which is very interesting.
Today I thought I would share with you what I am wearing on this Spring day. A simple casual outfit as I will be visiting family back and forth delivering chocolate eggs, you could call me the Easter bunny. To find out what I am wearing, carry on reading below.

mini lush haul (8)

When I came across Lush as I was walking through town the other day i noticed they still had their Easter range in so I thought I would take a look and yes, I made a purchase. I was disappointed to not see Humpty Dumpty in there as I really wanted to give him a try but I did get some lovely bath bombs. It is best to get them while you can as I'm sure they will be gone very soon.
Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb / £2.95 Each - I bought two of these as I love them because they remind me of Snow Fairy. They don't do anything exciting when it hits the water but it is great if you like to combine other bath products to this one.

Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb / £3.95 Each - How gorgeous does this look? I cannot wait to see what this looks like when it enters the water. If only smell vision existed because if you could smell this you would want to buy it.

What Came First? Bath Bomb / £6.95 Each - I am very excited about this bath bomb. A lovely guy at the Birmingham Lush store gave me a tip on how to make this bath bomb last. He said if you try and break it by tapping it onto something there is another egg inside which is also a bath bomb. I never knew this until he told me and I thought I would let you all know in case you do buy this bath bomb.

my easter weekend plans

If you work in retail just like me then you will know the excitement of having this Sunday off work for Easter. I have some plans made and I thought I would share them with you if you are not sure what to do this weekend, besides eating as many chocolate eggs as you want.

01 Firstly, eat all the chocolate eggs, mini eggs and other edible treats.
02 Bake some Easter recipes. You can see some recipes here.
03 Paint my nails a lovely pastel colour. I love these two from Models Own.
04 Treat myself to some tulips.
05 Visit a farm that has rabbits. It's acceptable to spend half your day fussing cute rabbits.
06 Fragrance myself with my Daisy Dream perfume by Marc Jacobs.
07 Try out a pink makeup look with my Sleek Highlighting Palette.
08 Have a gorgeous Sunday roast dinner (the best part of the weekend in my opinion)
09 Go for a morning walk and take some cute snaps of the scenery.
10 Lastly, have a nice cup of tea and some Hot Cross Buns in the evenings.
What do you have planned this Easter weekend?

mini boots haul (2)

When Boots sends you many vouchers in the post it makes you want to visit your local store ASAP and that is what I did yesterday. I didn't really have a splurge as the Birmingham store was mega busy because of the 3 for 2 deal Boots have on makeup. But I did pick up things I needed and some I wanted to try.

Rimmel Scandel Eyes Waterproof In Nude / £3.99 - I wanted a nude eyeliner to use on the waterline and I heard that this one from Rimmel is the best for application. I tried it this morning and I love it. It really brightens my eyes and has a very soft texture so is extremely easy to apply.

Bourjois City Radiance Foundation In Vanilla / £9.99 - I asked on my Twitter (@_milkyte4_) yesterday what products I need to try and somebody said that Bourjois City Radiance is really good. When I got to the makeup stand there was only one left, in my shade! It obviously must be that good if there wasn't any left. I will keep you posted on this foundation.

Batiste Dry Shampoo / £3.29 - Again if you looked at my Twitter page yesterday you would have seen that I ran out of dry shampoo and I was gutted. In my opinion dry shampoo is the best thing that has been made. Batiste have a great range and I decided to go for their Marakech.

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo / £4.19 - I had to pick up my favourite shampoo as I was running out. I only started using Aussie a couple of months ago as people were hyping about their shampoos. This particular shampoo is for dry and damaged hair which is my hair type. As soon as I blow dry my hair, it looks and smells so good. It is a bit pricey but it lasts for ages.

Imperial Leather Shower Cream Coconut / £1.00 - I am loving these shower creams. Recently I finished their Marshmellow one and I didn't think any other scent would beat it but this Coconut one does smell pretty good.

lush ladybird bubble bar

I am loving Lush's Spring collection, they have so many cute products in, especially this Ladybird. I couldn't bring myself to put it in my bath but in she went (only half of her) and I had a great bubble bath. The smell the Ladybird gives off is just wonderful. I would have to say that this one is the best I have tried in a long while. The water went a gorgeous bright strawberry red and the smell that went with it was LUSH. You get a fruity scent but with a hint of mint that comes out when you're in the bath. I came out feeling super soft as always with any Lush product and smelt dreamy. I will be very sad when this little one leaves the stores but I am very sure that Lush will give us more gorgeous treats over the next months.

Have you tried any of the Spring collection?

march glossy box 2016

I just came home from a couple of days in Stoke with my boyfriend Sean. And what do I come home to? My March Glossy Box. I have got to say, I love this months box not just because it features something rose gold (I'm spoiling you already) but some other products that I can't wait to try. This month is all about glowing complexion so highlighting, hydrating and protection. This is right up my street!
Carry on reading below if you would like to see what I got...

- So Susan Light Diffuser / I loved the look of the packaging straight away. Firstly on the back it states that it is "Cruelty-Free" which is good. I have been contouring and highlighting recently so this could be a new addition to my make-up routine.

- Luxie Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush / So remember when I mentioned something rose gold...well this is it. What a beauty. I'm so in love with this brush already that I am so scared to use it. It feels super soft! I figure it could be a great brush for highlighting as it looks easy to sweep along your cheekbones, down your nose and along the jawline for that beautiful finish.

- Olay Regenerist Luminous Skin Prone Perfecting Cream / What a cute little sample mini. Recently my skin has looked so dull and dark and this cream is told to hydrate, exfoliate and smooth the skin to leave it looking healthy and glowing. I think I will use it morning and night. Will let you know how I get on with this.

- Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum / Another great little sample is this one by Hey Honey. Of course it smells like honey and I can't to make my skin smell so great. It is told to protect your skin, leaving you with a glowing complexion day after day...well I sure need it.

- 417 Vitamin Mineral Shampoo And Conditioner / A shampoo AND conditioner, very spoiled. Now when it comes to my hair it isn't in the greatest condition so using these could help that as it states "ensure your hair is left super gleaming, hydrated and lustrous". If this does what it says, then I will be happy.

Do you like the look of any of these products?

the whitmore tea room - second visit

Today me and my boyfriend Sean finally booked a table at our favourite tea room The Whitmore Tea Room located in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. We had been to this place before and absolutely loved it, you can see my past post here. If you live in the area I really recommend that you visit here if it's just for a pot of English Breakfast tea as it is the perfect place to go.
If I had to recommend one beverage or eat treat to have I would have to say a slice of cake as the lovely ladies who do work there actually make these cakes themselves. I particularly admire the coffee cake. I just want the recipe so I can bake it myself. Sean loves their white chocolate and vanilla cake. But you can see all the options as soon as you walk into the room as they display the cakes for your eyes to see.
Of course the tea is also great, we always go for English Breakfast Tea as I'm not keen on Earl Grey. They do fruit teas if that is something you like and coffee. The lunch menu is delightful too. Finger sandwiches and scones are delish. Today we had the herb chicken breast in mayo which isn't what I had before but was really nice. You can see all the photos below and I'm sure you will want to visit The Whitmore Tea Room.

Imagine just creating a wishlist and whatever you choose goes straight into your wardrobe? I am currently getting very excited for Spring/Summer and finding those perfect staples becomes easy as Missguided is the perfect place to go.
The pieces I have chosen are just beautiful. I especially love this Porcelain Shirt Playsuit which you can see below. I have always loved Porcelain design on clothes and I got a feeling it will be making an appearance this Summer.
I will link all the links below of the pieces I have chosen for this Spring. And maybe you'll treat yourself to any of them.

keele hall

This week I am spending it in Stoke-On-Trent where my boyfriend currently lives and studies at. I have been to Stoke many times of course visiting Sean and also travelling around the area. As today was such a lovely Spring like weather I decided to take some outfit pictures. We visited Keele Hall which is located by the Keele University where Sean studies. I was amazed by how gorgeous the grounds were.
You could say that this is my first full on Spring outfit with the pastel colours. I have wanted a nice boyfriend kind of shirt for so long and I found this one in New Look recently and now I cannot stop wearing it. You can make it look casual or make it look smart. I have to give a special mention to New Look for selling the best high waisted jeans. These are my second pair and I finally got them in grey. If you're struggling to find some nice pieces for Spring I would go into New Look right away as you will be dressed head to toe in perfect Spring wear!

a spring to do list

Spring is fast approaching besides the light snow we have been having and I really can't wait. Lighter nights, warmer days and daffodils dotted around everywhere. I thought I would share with you my Spring to do list.

01. Bake some Easter recipes from my inspirational blog post (here
02. Paint my nails in some pretty pastel colours. I love Models Own Hyper Gel in 'Lilac Sheen' and Essie in 'Mint Candy Apple'.
03. Buy a lot more Easter treats like mini eggs.
04. Fragrance myself with more of Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream as it is the perfect Spring scent.
05. Stay away from dark clothing. I love this Suede Jacket from Missguided.
06. Get a new hair cut. I am aiming to get my hair shorter and lighter.
07. Buy a nice new blusher to brighten up my cheeks. I have my eye on this one by Nars in 'Amour' (here)
08. Travel to another city. Brighton is on the list.
09. Read more books. I am currently reading Me Before You by JoJo Moyles and I got The Revenant by Michael Punke to read straight after.
10. Spring clean my bedroom. Give away some things to charity like books, clothes etc.

What's on your to do list for this Spring?

february favourites

A very late February favourite post and I do apologise about the delay. I have been working many hours at work for extra money so I've been tired and just not been around on my blog. I really wanted to share what I loved last month as February was a good month for me. Me and Sean had our first Valentines Day together which was lovely and we went down to Devon for a whole week. Besides all of that I had been using these items and have grown to love them.

Imperial Leather Marshmallow Shower Cream - I have been loving this shower cream in my shower routine. The smell is incredibly sweet, reminds me of candy floss even though it is suppose to be a marshmallow scent. It leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and smelling so good. Totally recommend to anybody wanting a bit of pampering while showering and for the price of £1...what's not to love?

Dove Go Fresh Pomegranate & Lemon Deodorant - This has been having me smell great all day and night. I also have the Roll On Deodorant to match but honestly you only need the spray. One thing that bugged me at first was that white dust would always come off onto my dark clothes, but I realised that you do need to shake it quite well before spraying it on. But overall it works really well.

M&S Alphabet Letter Scented Candle - Ah I love this candle SO SO MUCH. The packaging is beautiful and looks really good quality. The candle smells of Grapefruit and Ginger. It makes the whole of my bedroom smell amazing. You wouldn't think a small candle would but it sure does.

Kiko Creamy Colour Lip Liner - I have loved everything that I got from Kiko last month but I have especially loved one of their lip liners. This colour is the perfect pink shade and feels so creamy on my lips. I feel like I want to find a lipstick in this exact shade. Will be buying more of these.

Other items in the pictures: Rose Gold Heart - ASDA - Similar & Tulips - ASDA
