my 'to read' pile

Nothing I love more nowadays is settling down into bed in the evening with a good book. There's something about reading a book after you have had a busy day at work that makes you feel calm for a few hours! Most recently I have been putting my phone down at night and focus on a book instead as before when I used to scroll through my phone it took over my sleeping pattern. But settling with a book to read makes you lose yourself for a while.

Last month I got rid of so many books that I had read but thought I would give them to charity shops for someone else to have a feel-good read instead. So I did a bit of research for a couple of new books and here are the ones I have on my pile...

Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them - I am very excited to have this book beside my bed at the moment. J.K Rowling is truly one of the real great writers. This is a nice little addition to the other Harry Potter books. This book explains all the beasts in the Harry Potter kingdom along with illustrations and Rowlings bouncy style of writing we all know and love. I have pre-ordered the original screenplay book of fantastic beasts so I am excited for that one to arrive.

The Revenant - As I had seen the film not so long ago, I wanted to get the book soon after. I'm worried I might not get as hooked as I do with some books as some friends have told me it's really hard to follow. But if you have read this book, please give me a little review below. I would be interested in what you thought.

Always With Love - It has finally arrived and I couldn't be happier. I love Giovanna Fletchers books as they tug at the heart strings; between characters like Billy and Me with new ones included to make us ooh and aah, laugh out loud or cry just a little tear or two. I have already heard great things about this one and I cannot wait to start it.

What Would Audrey Do? - This book has been sitting on my bookcase for a while now and I think it's about time I started reading it. Audrey Hepburn has always been a big part of my childhood. Going to my nans house and watching Roman Holiday on repeat was a highlight for me. Her style, looks and personality had me mesmerised. When I saw this book on Amazon it was in my basket right away. I'm really interested to know more about Audrey so reading this will help me to my homework on her life.

Have you read any of these?

  1. I couldn't agree more with your introduction, reading a good book in bed in the evening has definitely been my favourite part of the day lately :) I haven't read the books on your list, but Always With Love is on mine as well x
