beauty finds from tk maxx

When it comes to buying beauty products, I think that we do like to save some money. Some high-end can be expensive and off putting as we want try out these brand new products that everybody is raving about, especially to create great content on your blog. I have been to TK Maxx twice now and I have came across some little beauty treasures at low prices.

You have to go at the right time because as it gets to mid day so many people come by testing out the product so it gets damaged or just taking the product out of the box without even paying. Unfortunately I did come across some products that were not in their packaging. I was disappointed as some were NARS or Too Faced. But luckily for me I have been both times at around 11am and have found these gems that I am about to tell you about in good condition.

A few days ago I found the Too Faced Cat Eyes palette for under £10, which if you think about it is pretty spectacular considering it retails at around the £20 mark. I think it had just got delivered that morning as the condition was great. There were quite a few, so I may go back and pick one up for a giveaway for you lovelies! Next I picked up the Too Faced Bulletproof Eyeliner for just £5.99! The box that it came in is in perfect condition and so is the product. I have already given this a try and I absolutely love it.

The beauty section always has so many nail polishes, but these three Essie ones caught my eye. I decided to grab Starry Stormy Night, Coconut Cove and Pool Side Service. These were £2.99 each and I was really chuffed. My Essie collection is now growing much faster now.

Lastly I picked up two NYX Powder Blushes I picked up Terra Cotta and Dusty Rose. These were £4.99 each. Overall I am very chuffed with what I have picked up from TK Maxx. Let me know if you would like to see more of these because I won't be able to keep away from the beauty section.

jord wooden watch & giveaway (CLOSED)

Today I am bringing you something a little bit different to what I would normally blog about. I am really interested in accessories at the moment and one type of accessory I have frankly never owned is a watch. A reason for that is that I have never found the right one for me as I can be very picky. Now, when the lovely people over at JORD got in touch with me and asked if I would be interested in trying out one of their watches*, I was so excited as I loved the look of the collection they had on their website. If you carry on reading you can see how you could win a $100 code to use on a new JORD watch for yourself.
I was spoiled for choice which watch to pick but I decided to go for this gorgeous one from their Reece series in the Golden Camphor and Khaki*. The look and finish of this watch is just delightful. I can never tell it is there on my wrist because it feels so light and is so comfortable to wear all day long. You can tell how much work has gone into making these watches as it is beautifully hand crafted and looks natural. It is the perfect fashion accessory, imagine all the compliments I get on it asking where they can get one themselves and just how great it looks. The wooden box it arrives in took my breath away. Inside along with the watch you get a cloth to keep your watch in tact which is great. Along with a spray. You could say it's just the perfect watch! You can take a look at their watch collection here.
Myself and JORD are hosting a little giveaway where you can win a $100 code to use to get a wooden watch of your own. All you have to do is click here and enter your name and e-mail address. You will then be entered into a prize draw! And just by entering you get a $25 code off a wooden watch (excluding the winner). The giveaway is live now and will end on Tuesday 28/02/2017. Good luck to you if you enter! I would like to say a massive thank you to Bill over at JORD for getting in touch with me and sending me this lovely watch. I feel so spoiled!

my goals for 2017

Well, hello there. I feel like I haven't typed anything on this platform for so long now and I'd firstly like to apologise for that. As you probably know when Christmas comes around it can be hard to find the time to sit and write down a blog post (saying that it seems most people did.) But as I'm currently in Devon on a mini breakaway I thought now is the time to tell you my goals for 2017.

I have to say that when I did this sort of post one year, I truthfully didn't stick to it! Now that is going to change as I really want to make some great changes this year that will help me. Here are my top 10 for the year :

1. Drink more water. Ditch the fizzy drinks, they aren't good for me!
2. Don't skip breakfast or else I will just be less likely to binge on something unhealthy later on in the day.
3. Don't go on my phone, at least once every hour.
4. Never go food shopping while hungry.
5. Remember to recycle.
6. Save up some money once a month towards that holiday I want in July.
7. Exercise more. Set some goals.
8. Start reading more great books that are out there, no excuses.
9. No more takeaways, plan some great meals to have in the week.
10. Take care of myself more. We can sometimes feel so guilty neglecting our own needs.

What are your goals for the year?
