my 'to read' pile

Nothing I love more nowadays is settling down into bed in the evening with a good book. There's something about reading a book after you have had a busy day at work that makes you feel calm for a few hours! Most recently I have been putting my phone down at night and focus on a book instead as before when I used to scroll through my phone it took over my sleeping pattern. But settling with a book to read makes you lose yourself for a while.

Last month I got rid of so many books that I had read but thought I would give them to charity shops for someone else to have a feel-good read instead. So I did a bit of research for a couple of new books and here are the ones I have on my pile...

Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them - I am very excited to have this book beside my bed at the moment. J.K Rowling is truly one of the real great writers. This is a nice little addition to the other Harry Potter books. This book explains all the beasts in the Harry Potter kingdom along with illustrations and Rowlings bouncy style of writing we all know and love. I have pre-ordered the original screenplay book of fantastic beasts so I am excited for that one to arrive.

The Revenant - As I had seen the film not so long ago, I wanted to get the book soon after. I'm worried I might not get as hooked as I do with some books as some friends have told me it's really hard to follow. But if you have read this book, please give me a little review below. I would be interested in what you thought.

Always With Love - It has finally arrived and I couldn't be happier. I love Giovanna Fletchers books as they tug at the heart strings; between characters like Billy and Me with new ones included to make us ooh and aah, laugh out loud or cry just a little tear or two. I have already heard great things about this one and I cannot wait to start it.

What Would Audrey Do? - This book has been sitting on my bookcase for a while now and I think it's about time I started reading it. Audrey Hepburn has always been a big part of my childhood. Going to my nans house and watching Roman Holiday on repeat was a highlight for me. Her style, looks and personality had me mesmerised. When I saw this book on Amazon it was in my basket right away. I'm really interested to know more about Audrey so reading this will help me to my homework on her life.

back to the gym!

I've recently started back at my local gym and so far it has been hard. Some people who know me will look at me and say "why are you joining the gym? you're skinny!", well I think that I'm not near as slim and toned as I would like to be and that's why I have joined. I have always wanted to get fitter, but I just couldn't motivate myself. When I worked myself up to go to the gym most recently (on my own) I didn't know what I was doing. I think we can all agree that the gym is a scary place - all these strong girls with their abs, and the buff guys lifting weights. Gaining confidence in the gym has been one of the best things I have done so far this month. Here are some tips if you are thinking about joining the gym again or if its your first time:
01. Start small. kick ass. increase. repeat: Starting small makes sticking with it more likely and will provide small wins that build confidence. It takes less than you think to challenge your body and start inspiring changes.
02. Set a schedule and stick to it: Calendar apps on your phone are your friends. Schedule your workouts like they are important meetings at work that you w0uld never miss. Write it down, pick a time and don't cancel on yourself. You are someone who follows through. Don't let yourself down.
03. Start your day with a win: A new morning is the perfect time for a fresh start and what better way to start it than like a winner. Have a badass morning routine and you will set the tone for a productive, positive day.
04. Give it 72 hours: If you are still dealing with cravings of sugar in your system and that will go away in 72 hours for most people, as will bloating. So next time you have one of those weekends and you are ready to get back on track, you are in it for 72 hours before judging yourself.
05. Eating healthy and working out is simple: Don't over-complicate it to the point it consumes you. The people who figure out how to enjoy it and make it an abundant and replenishing part of their lives are the real winners.

zoella sweet inspirations beauty range

The other day whilst I was wondering around some shops, I saw in the corner of my eye a new Zoella stand in Superdrug...straight away I went to have a look. I had seen and heard of her new beauty range, but this was the first time that I saw them up close. The rose gold and pastel colours truly had me on board, so I ended up buying most of the products. I'm gutted that they didn't have the Body Fondant, must be a good sign that it's good. I couldn't wait to get home and try out these products...here is what I thought of them.

Zoella Le Fizz (Fragranced Bath Fizzer) - As much as I love to buy the dramatic bath bombs from Lush, sometimes you just can't beat some bath salts or even fizzlers. I tried out Zoella's Tutti Fruity Bath Fizzers from her last range and they were my favourite. They are still the same as the other bath fizzer's but the scent has changed.

Zoella Double Creme Body Cream - Now when I heard that this was Macaroon scented, I was over the moon! It's enriched with sweet almond oil, honey and cacao. It is a more thicker creme to the last range, it feels a lot more hydrating and cooling on the skin.

Zoella Sugar Dip (Scented Bath Salt Granules) - The packaging on this is so so pretty. It really caught my eye. Like I said before I do like bath salts, and these were really nice to use. Especially with the bath latte. Brings out a sweet smell into your bathroom.

Zoella Bath Latte - This looks lovely in my bathroom along with all my other products. I would definitely keep using this with the sugar dip bath salts as it enchants the smell.

Zoella Fragrance Body Mist - Now onto my favourite out of them all. This mist certainly lasts a long time. The smell reminds me of Summer instantly! Spraying a tiny bit of this onto your body after using the double creme makes it last longer throughout the day.

What do you think of Zoella's new beauty products?
