Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen - £6
Ever since I started swooning over Alexa Chung and her perfect eyeliner flicks, my determination to get those flicks has become like a mission. This means that I have tried more liquid eyeliners than I would care to remember and I have had those wonky eyeliner days where one eye would not match the other. I've always found it tricky, even in those school days my friends would get it just right. But since a few months ago I have discovered the genius that has been helping me finally get those cat eyes.
Like I have said I have been through a few of these so called 'perfect' eyeliners and I have liked a few. I have swapped brands quite a lot. Looking for the one that stays put all day, doesn't smudge and gives you a crisp flick that many other girls who can pull off the eyeliner like Alexa would be jealous of! Before I start off this review, I just want to say that I do not think that this is a 'perfect' product...it's a very, very good one, but it's not the perfect one I have yet to discover.
As much as I love Soap & Glory products, their make up is something that I have never ventured into. When my trusty eyeliner (the one that I had used through college days and always went back to) ran out, I took a little wonder into Boots and over to the Soap & Glory make up stand and stumbled across the Supercat Eyeliner Felt Tip Pen. I had always heard great things about this eyeliner but I just never thought of giving it the chance, so once I saw it I just had to buy it. What I have always loved about felt tip liners is how easy they are to apply, you have none of that faff of having to fiddle around with a teeny tiny pot of liquid liner and one of those plasticky stick like brushes which I can't bare to go near as they are just the worst.
The question is does this last longer? and the answer is, yes it lasts literally all day! I guess one of the downsides is that it isn't exactly waterproof. And I do get watery eyes especially if it is so windy outside and it blows into my eyes. When it comes to removing your make up after a long day in the evening, it comes off like a dream. I know from reviews people have said they didn't like the smell...well the smell does not bother me.
For the price that it is I think that it is well worth the money and it's something that I would most definitely buy again next time this one runs out. This has also made me curious about what other make up Soap & Glory has to offer. For now though I am hoping they do bring out a version that is just a tad more waterproof for us watery eyed ladies.

Before I start I would just like to say that I do realise that the bottles are in the wrong places but that shouldn't bother anybody...just me. #OCDProblems. I bought this lovely set from Fragrance Direct which sell discounted Make Up and they sold this at just £5.99! This set consists of a a 5ml bottle of First Base, a 5ml bottle of Mademoiselle and a 5ml bottle of Good To Go Top Coat. All of the nail polishes apply like a dream, with no streakiness at all. Plus, both the first base and the top coat dry fairly quickly so it reduces the time taken to do manicures, which is always a bonus. However, when I was applying Mademoiselle, it did take around 3 thick coats to make it fully opaque, but this could just be down to how pale the shade is.
After I wore the kit for a little more than a week, there was a few chips, but nothing that you would notice unless you were really staring at your nails. I can definitely see myself buying the first coat and the top coat in the future as I was really impressed by them, they both left my nails feeling so strong and shiny. The Mademoiselle nail polish is definitely a pretty shade once it's fully painted onto your nails. It was such a bargain from £14.99 which is the normal price in Boots and Superdrug. I know that Fragrance Direct have sadly sold out but TK Maxx do also sell this at the same price that I paid for.

I get so excited when Benefit release a brand sparkling new product and I'm a sucker for retro/vintage packaging and of course the brand - Benefit! They are set to launch the new Roller Lash mascara which is designed to lift and curl your eyelashes the same way curlers lift and curl your hair. I gotta say I love how Benefit have used a print of hair rollers on the promo. This mascara features a Hook 'n' Roll brush with tiny hooks on the bristles, which catch lashes, lifting and gently pulling them to create ultimate curly lashes. The black-ink formula contains Pro vitamin B5 and serin, known for their lash-containing benefits, and is said to provide a 12-hour curl-setting effect. Now if you like to use eyelash curlers and curl your lashes you won't need to with this mascara. This mascara isn't set for release until March, however you can be one of those lucky ladies buy purchasing this months ELLE magazine and get a small sample like I did! This mascara is well worth the wait if you really want to buy the full sized version when it is released in March.

I have been a huge lover of Ebay lately and I don't know if it is a bad thing or not seeing as I have bought a lot of things lately! But the prices have always been lower than £10, one of those items I have bought recently are these Professional Kabuki Brushes Set for just £1 with free delivery! You can buy these brushes in 8 different colours, I decided to stick with the Gold and Black which I am glad about. I haven't used them yet as I only got them delivered yesterday to my door but I am so excited to. They feel sooo soft and they came in such good condition. Bubble wrapped and in a sealed packet so they didn't get damaged which was good.
They don't exactly have names for each of the brushes which is a bit disappointing but I guess it will be an adventure to see what each brush is good at. Just so you know before you do buy these that they are coming all the way from China, so they do take a while I come although these were expected to come in February so they came a bit early for me which I am not complaining about. If you do want to buy them the link is here.
I wish I could say more about the brushes but I will do a review very soon once I have tried them out.
